Anna Huditz, Head of Competence Unit Transportation Infrastructure Technologies at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, was awarded the Grete Rehor Prize in the category ‘STEM and Digitalisation’ on 4 November 2025. The prize, donated by the Austrian Fund for the Empowerment and Advancement of Women and Girls, honours individuals who contribute to the advancement of women in science and technology with their expertise, innovative spirit and commitment.
The award recognises Anna Huditz's professional achievements in the field of infrastructure and transport management as well as her contribution to digitalisation and sustainability in the mobility sector. As an experienced manager with over 15 years of expertise in research and development, construction and public administration, she is playing a key role in shaping the future of a safe, efficient and climate-friendly transport infrastructure in Austria and beyond.
Impetus for a sustainable and digital mobility future
Her work at AIT is dedicated to developing innovative technologies and data-based strategies for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of transport infrastructure. The integration of sustainability goals, digital transformation and mobility transition plays a central role in this. In addition to her professional excellence, Huditz is committed to mentoring and serving as a role model for young women pursuing careers in STEM professions.

In addition to her work at AIT, Anna Huditz is a member of the board of the ATTC Austrian Traffic and Telematics Cluster, a member of the board of GSV – Plattform für Mobilität and a member of the supervisory board of ASFINAG Baumanagement GmbH. She has extensive international networks with research institutes and infrastructure operators and studied economics at the University of Graz and construction management and civil engineering at FH Joanneum Graz.
About the Grete Rehor Award
The Grete Rehor National Award and the other Grete Rehor Awards in the categories ‘Economy’, ‘Education, Science and the World of Work’, ‘STEM and Digitalisation’ and ‘Economics’ are presented as part of the Austrian Women's Award to honour remarkable achievements in women's and gender equality policy and to recognise role models in various areas of society.
The award commemorates Grete Rehor (1910–1987), Austria's first female federal minister, and honours women who have made a lasting contribution to equal opportunities, innovation and social progress through their work.
