AIT organises first interdisciplinary conference on the future of the circular economy in construction on 16 June 2025 in Vienna: Insights from research, industry and politics into resource-saving and sustainable solutions for the construction sector
On 16 June 2025, the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology will host the first interdisciplinary conference on "Ways out of a linear construction industry" in Austria. CirCon - Circular Construction will be a meeting point for experts to discuss the future of the circular economy in the construction industry. In view of the challenge of increasing sustainability and resource efficiency, the one-day conference aims to promote the circular construction industry. Current developments and future prospects will be highlighted in various formats, such as discussion panels and keynote speeches.
As part of a dialogue between science and industry, the challenges and potential of the transformation of the construction sector will be highlighted in an interdisciplinary exchange. This interlinking will enable key topics of the construction turnaround to be discussed, innovative solutions to be developed and new impetus to be provided for a sustainable future for the sector.
